NHSCA Orphan Coach, Charlie Heard, comes to woman's rescue

NHSCA Orphan Coach Charlie Heard came to the rescue of an injured woman on the streets of Upper South Parkside, West Virginia on July 3, 2016. A bloodied woman was wandering the streets after she was attacked by a knife wielding attacker according to the police report. Heard tended to the woman, who suffered facial lacerations, while his daughter called 911. The perpetrator was later arrested for the vicious attack.

On the mat, Heard was a 3x NCAA All American. He was also the Olympic Alternative for the 1984 Games. Charlie can be seen at the NHSCA National Wrestling Championships each spring in his role of orphan coach continuing to help those in need. His new venture is a BBQ sauce with his own special recipe.
