The National High School Coaches Association (“NHSCA”) is proud to announce Rob Dubinski, head coach at Whitefish Bay High School in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin as its 2017-18 National High School Boys’ Soccer Coach of the Year.

Dubinski has led his school to back-to-back Wisconsin Division 2 state championships since taking over the program in 2016. Overall, Whitefish Bay has won three straight state championships, which ranks the school as one of the all-time best in boys’ soccer. The Blue Dukes finished No. 2 in the nation in USA TODAY’s Super 25 Fall Rankings.

After winning the state title, Dubinski told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, “This is a once-in-a-lifetime type of team. I would put this team up against just about any team in state history. When the lights shine brightest, these guys show up to play.”

Dubinski also is the head coach of the Whitefish Bay High School girls’ soccer team.

“We are extremely pleased to honor Coach Dubinski as National Boys’ Soccer Coach of the Year,” said Eric Hess, Executive Director of the NHSCA. “Coach Dubinski’s commitment to excellence for his student-athletes on-and-off the soccer field makes him a great choice for this honor.”

Coach Dubinski is the first coach from Wisconsin to win the NHSCA National Boys’ Soccer Coach of the Year.

Throughout 2018, the NHSCA is honoring high achievers in the high school coaching community by naming Coaches of the Year in a total of 20 boys’ and girls’ sports.  It’s the 19th straight year that the NHSCA has presented its National Coach of the Year Awards.

Each one of the honorees will receive a beautiful trophy, plus they will be honored in the National High School Sports Digital Hall of Fame Museum that the NHSCA is currently designing.
