 Registration will close Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 11:59pm EST.


**All pre-sold t-shirts & bags MUST be picked up on site**



This event is the most prestigious high school event, in any sport, throughout the country.

The 2018 National Championships culminated with a total of 4,430 entries. This will be the first year for the Girls' division.






Eligibility: Grades 9-12th -- There are NO exceptions!


Please Note: If you are NOT enrolled in 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, you will be disqualified and will not be able to compete the 2020 Nationals Championships.


All wrestlers are asked to bring a copy of their most recent report card or birth certificate to registration/weigh ins as proof if needed.

There will be one weigh-in for the entire event with a 3-pound weight allowance. 
i.e. 103 weight class will be 106 pounds 



All wrestlers MUST weigh-in in singlets!



Entry Fee: $60


Please Note: Entry fee will only be refunded with a doctor's note.

Please email the note to Mattie at Refunds will be processed in a timely manner. Any refunds submitted between March 24-31, 2019 will be completed upon our return to the office.


Early Weigh Ins

With an additional $20 fee, you can weigh in during the Early Weigh In time of 2:30-3:30 on Saturday. To purchase online, select the Early Weigh In on the second page of the wrestler's registration process. 

Please note: This early weigh in is only valid for the 30th Annual NHSCA High School Nationals.


Weight Changes 

  • You can email Mattie - by midnight of Tuesday, March 26th to change your weight prior to weigh ins
  • Any change received after this time will occur on-site at the weight-change scale.
    • There is no fee to change your weight on site!

If you are in need of a late weigh in, please email the request to Mattie - Potter@nhsca.comAll requests must be approved.



Skin Issues

If your wrestler has any skin issues, please print this form for your doctor. Form must be filled out by doctor within 7 days of the start of competition at NHSCA Nationals and brought to weigh-ins.


Please note: We still reserve the right to override form if our head trainer/doctor sees any "active" skin issues. 




Championship Bracket: 2-2-2


Consolation Bracket: 1-1:30-1:30


There will be full wrestle backs for all consolation matches.


Please Note: All American rounds will revert back to 2-2-2 matches.


Video Challenge

Video challenges will be permitted starting with the Quarter-Finals in the championship bracket and the Consolation Round of 12 in the consolation bracket. Coaches will be required to place a $50.00 deposit, which will be returned if the call on the mat is changed. 


All-American Status

The top eight place finishers in each weight class will receive awards as well as official recognition as Junior All-Americans.


Upon achieving all-American status, you will receive a certificate with your award.


All-Americans will also be recognized at the future National High School Digital Hall of Fame.

Brandy Green


Green is the head coach at Limestone College in Gaffney, South Carolina. 


As a competitor, Green was a two-time member of the USA Senior National Team, was a three-time Cadet World Team member, three-times was a Junior World Team member, placed fourth at the Pan American Championships, was named Asics Female High School Wrestler of the Year, was a four-time USGWA High School National Champion, and was a two-time Fargo Champion.

Early Wrestler Weigh-Ins -- Valid for HS Nationals only.

$20 online - available during wrestler's registration 

$25 onsite - cash only

4-5pm  Wrestler Weigh In & Coach's Check In and registration
5pm  Mandatory Coach's meeting

To coach at the 30th Annual NHSCA National Championships – Girls' division, follow the steps below: 

1. Be a current member of the NHSCA - Click here to join today! – Membership is $30.

  • A list of membership benefits can be seen here.

2. Purchase a 2019 Girls' Coach Pass – Click here to purchase!

  • $25 - available online until Wednesday, March 27th at 11:59pm EST.
  • You will pick up at the VBCC during Girls' Coach Registration & Check In in Hall A.
  • **If you purchased the All Events Coaches Pass, you do not need this pass**

The Girls' Coach Pass in non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions. 

Print your receipts and cut your time in line!

What is the closest airport?
The closest airport is Norfolk. It is approximate 18 miles from the venue.

Do I have to wear my high school singlet?
No! You can wear any singlet of your choosing. School singlets are fine provided your school does not have an issue.

Do I have to weigh in in a singlet?
Yes! All wrestlers are required to wear singlets for weigh ins.

Do I have to wear headgear?
No! Headgear is not required but recommended for your safety.

If I purchase a T-Shirt, will it be shipped to me?
No! You will pick up your t-shirt on site during the event from the World Wide Sports Supply T-Shirt Stand located in the lobby of the VBCC.

Can I bring a cooler into the tournament?
The VBCC does not allow outside food or beverages.


Will there be a check scale available on Saturday?

Yes, a check scale will be available at the VBCC.

Do I need to have a coach?
No, you are not required to have a coach. We do have an “orphan coach” that you can sign up for at the event as well!

Can I park my RV?

The City permits oversized vehicles to park at its 4th Street Lot off Atlantic Avenue. Other locations are being explored.  Another option is Oceanfront Outdoor Storage at 959 Virginia Beach Blvd (757-491-2800). Click here to read all the VBCC Rules and Regulations!
