Skin Checks & Weigh Ins 

All wrestlers are required to weigh-in in singlets.

  • Athletes flagged for suspected skin infections during the weigh-in process will be evaluated by a physician retained by the NHSCA who has the final decision to allow the athlete to compete.
  • If your wrestle has any skin issues, please print this form for your doctor. Form must be filled out by doctor within 7 days of the start of competition at NHSCA Nationals and brought to weigh-ins.

    • We still reserve the right to override form if our head trainer/doctor sees any "active" skin issues.

Divisions and Weight Classes -- Grade level for the 2018-2019 school year
**There is one weigh-in for the entire event. You must be wearing a wristband & singlet to weigh in**


High School - Grades 9-12: 3 lb. allowance - 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 145, 152, 160, 170, 182, 195, 220, 285


Middle School - Grades 6*-8: 2 lb. allowance - 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 112, 119, 127, 135, 142, 154, 165, 180, 230


Elementary School -Grades 4-6*: 1 lb. allowance - 52, 56, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 110, 120, 135

* 6th grade eligibility: 6th graders can determine which division they wish to wrestle.


If you are found wrestling down, i.e. 7th grade in Elementary, your team will be disqualified.  


8th graders are eligible for High School division.


Please Note: Wrestlers are able to compete for 1 team in 1 division - NO EXCEPTIONS
If you are found on multiple teams, all teams involved will be penalized. Each match that wrestler wrestled will be counted as a forfeit.



When wrestlers weigh in, we will be using your actual weight to determine your eligible weight class. You will be eligible for that weight and the weight higher.

i.e. if you weigh in at 115.8, you will be eligible for 113 and 120.

Weight allowance: 3 lbs for High School, 2 lbs for Middle School, and 1 lb for Elementary



Team Entry Fee
$700 per team (each team may have a maximum of 18 wrestlers).  All teams MUST pay in full online when registering team!

  • Additional wrestlers (over 18): There is a fee of $45 / additional wrestler and we suggest that you try to place the athlete on a team that has an incomplete roster.

    • It is the responsibility of the head coach to see that alternates are worked in to dual meets. 
    • Alternatives are not guaranteed exhibition matches


All rosters are due online by midnight of Friday, May 3rd for seeding!
Teams that show up with three or more open roster spots will be subject to not being able to compete next year.


 Teams that qualify for Day 3 of wrestling will be re-seeded based on their roster onsite and results to ensure the integrity of the bracket!


Table Workers

Each team is responsible for their own table worker. He or she will receive free entry. Team contacts will receive a lanyard at registration. Each table work MUST be wearing this lanyard to enter the wrestling and to be at the table.


Championship tournament format with complete consolation rounds. We will be using college out of bounds rules. 
Every team is guaranteed 6 matches.


Match Times
High School Division - 1.30-1.30-1.30
Middle School Division - 1.15-1.15-1.15
Elementary School Division - 1-1-1



In each division, participants from the top 5 placing teams will receive medals, as well as official recognition as All-Americans.

Team Awards

The top 5 place finishing teams will also receive a beautiful statue.


Cole Baublitz Memorial Award is given to the first place High School team champion. This award commemorates a very special wrestler from Diesel who was tragically killed at age 19 in 2007. Cole loved the sport of wrestling, the competition, and the joy of the team unity that prevailed when wrestlers who normally compete against each other for different schools join forces on the same team.


Tie Breaker Breakdown

3 Way Tie or More

  • Point differential of only the matches involving these 3 against each other.
  • If this fully delineates all 3 use it as is.
  • If it leaves a 2 way tie then criteria goes to Head to head competition





Early Weigh-Ins 

Early Team weigh-ins will be on Friday from 2-4pm. Teams will follow the same procedure and scale/mat assignments as above.


There will be NO onsite registration. *Team must have 7 or more to weigh in early*

*A portion of this fee will be used to offset costs for underprivileged wrestlers through our State Reps*

1. Be a current member of the NHSCA. Membership is $30. --   Click Here!
  • Purchase by Wednesday, May 22nd - it will close at 11:59pm EST


2. Purchase the 2019 NHSCA National Duals Event Pass. --   Click Here!
  • $35 online - purchase by Wednesday, May 22nd - it will close at 11:59pm EST
  • $45 onsite - purchase when you arrive
  • This is your ticket to enter as a coach.
  • This is non-refundable and non-transferable.


You will pick up your coach's pass onsite during the registration time on Friday. Print your receipt to speed up the process! 


Online sales will close on Wednesday, May 22nd at midnight for both membership and event pass.


COACHES! If you purchased the 2019 NHSCA All Event Coach Pass during the High School Nationals, you do not need the Duals Event Pass!!!  
You will show your ID to pick up your pass -- Be sure your membership is current!
